A Day of Rest

I woke up early today because someone took my blood sample and I gave my urine. I was so sleepy I went back to sleep right after.

I slept again after breakfast and after lunch.

When I called the agency regarding the FGD tonight, I found out it will not push through.

So, I just played online scrabble.

A day of rest.

What to do the rest of the day? Read Kerygma magazine, read "Last Man Standing", pray the rosary.

I texted my doctor to ask about my bone marrow test results. She said "very good result". Yehey! I hope that means lower dosage of my maintenance medicine.

Rest at Last

I slept past 5 am this morning so I woke up almost 12 noon already for breakfast and lunch.

I gained weight with all that stress and work!

I played several games of online scrabble.

I checked my inbox.

I took a nap in the afternoon.

I ate early dinner with my mom.

I saw the sunset from our condo window.


A day of rest indeed. Thank You, Lord!

A Day of Rest and Communication

This was a day of rest in the sense that I didn't have work. A report that I was supposed to revise was edited by another consultant (my immediate client) but she said it was good, overall, as usual. I will just add pictures to make it look more visually appealing.

What are the things that I did today?...

...talked to some clients re collections and future projects

...a friend came by to get some tapes and batteries and return some stuff

...talked to a friend on Skype

...talked to my mom's friend on the phone (she gave me a big bouquet of flowers which really cheered me up)

...chatted with my cousin from Spain

...talked to my sister in community over the phone and she prayed over me

...my best friend visited me and we typed captions for the pictures she will give her priest-friend. She brought me a book written by a priest with cancer. She also brought fruits. We ate dinner of spaghetti, salad, and lanzones.

...I went through my emails and facebook

Thank You, Lord for this nice, nice day of rest and "communication", keeping in touch with loved ones.

When You Need to Rest...

Because I slept most of last night, sitting up again instead of lying down, I was sleepy the whole day.

And when you lack rest, the world allows you to rest.

So rest, I must.

A Long Day

This has been a verrry busy day!

I released two proposals. I computed the costing for one of them which could be a tedious process.

I revised a looooong report and wrote the conclusions and recommendations for each of its major sections.

I cleared up some matters about "quota" of respondents in a big project.

As if to say "time's up", the fumigators arrived to start doing their job as I was dotting my i's and crossing my t's, so to speak.

But the worse was not over. It is Friday night. Gimmick time for many. Nightmare time to wait for a cab!...especially for those of us who just want to go home and REST.

So when I finally reached home sweet home, I ate dinner and here I am writing this post.
Feels good, feels great to be able to say "Time to rest". Tomorrow's another day. I will be revising a proposal and transcribing some tapes.

Tomorrow is tomorrow. Today is tonight. It's sleeping time! Thank You, Lord!
