Ballet On a Saturday Night

Yesterday, I did the tab specs for a project. I couldn't do the questionnaire for the same client because it is quite difficult. Will work on it tomorrow.

Last night, I watched my niece dance ballet. The best number was "Magandang Gabi" because it was lively. In the "Under the Sea" portion, my niece played the role of Sebastian, the crab/lobster. (Her surname happens to be Sebastian, too.) She danced the Moonwalk! ha ha.
She was all smiles when she performs. Great to look at.

Then, we ate dinner at Pancake House. Most of us had the house special set consisting of spaghetti, taco and chicken. Delicious!

Today, I had my FGD materials printed and photocopied. There were so many of them I paid a total of P1198. But I'm glad I was practically alone in the shop so I was serviced quickly.

First Friday

I was early for First Friday mass so I was able to go to Confession. Feels good to be granted forgiveness, attend mass and receive Holy Communion.

The homily was about the three elements of prayer: prayer of faith, expectant prayer, and prayer of charity. I should be reminded of this whenever I pray for something such as the successful conduct of my FGD.

I am also praying the 24 Glory Be Novena to St. Therese of the Child Jesus. It starts with a short prayer. Then 24 Glory Be's with "St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Pray for Us" in between.

---------
Another UAI (usage, attitude and image) study came in. I have to formulate the questionnaire but it seems difficult. Requires a lot of thinking. Another challenge.

---------
On March 18, there will be a joint celebration among Maryknollers who turned 50 (or will turn 50). No dinner fees required. Hope I can make it.

---------
Tomorrow, I will be watching my niece dance ballet. It's good to get out of the condo to be entertained.

Ballet and Japanese Food

Yesterday, I watched two of my nieces perform ballet. They were very good! (Of course, I'm biased. Proud Tita!)

Then, we went to Teriyaki Boy along Katipunan. Food consisted of: tuna and salmon sashimi, sukiyaki, hagedashi tofu, chicken teriyaki, ebi tempura, rice. Food trip! No softdrinks, just water.

Today and yesterday, I worked on a project. I finished the report on time because tomorrow and tuesday, I will be in Batangas to visit friends with some friends. Yehey! Short vacation.

Watching Ballet

There are three ballet dancers among my nieces and tonight they had a recital. At first, I didn't want to go because I was tired and not feeling well. Beside, it's the second day of my period. But then, my sister already reserved tickets for us so I had no choice.

I'm glad I went though. The performances were good, for the most part. Some stood out from the rest. I'm proud to say that my nieces were among the better dancers (not that I'm biased). One of the most applauded dances was the one that won in a competition and participated in by two of my nieces. It was a modern dance cum ballet type of number.

As I was watching, I could tell which ones have been practicing/dancing ballet for years and were truly gifted. I also spotted which among the little girls or younger dancers had much potential. I guess it takes a dancer to appreciate other dancers.

I can never dance ballet again with my figure, my ailments and my age. But I sure am glad to have the opportunity to watch other people perform, even the amateurs.

After the recital, off we went to my brother's house and had a little get-together. Food consisted of baked macaroni, Flaming Wings chicken, and Yellow Cab pizza with softdrinks. Coffee and silvanas were served, too but I couldn't partake of either.

For a while, we had to entertain the date of my niece, Angie, to their graduation ball. Nice guy - good-looking, too. My niece was beautiful in her sexy, white dress. She had her hair curled. What I didn't like were her bangs which I found too long.

My brother-in-law had the kindness of heart to bring us home. So here I am, at the end of another day, almost ready to sleep.

Good night!
