Ordinary Days Can Be Fun

There were no special occasions recently but I still had fun...

...I enjoy working on another report, the FGD I told you about. It is far from completed but the deadline is still next week. So, I am taking my sweet time.

...I finished reading "Depraved Indifference" and liked it.

...My mom bought chicharon with fat. It's as good as Lapid's!

...My friend visited me last Thursday. She brought carbonara from Amici. We talked about family, health, etc. She said I look good.

...A client-friend asked a favor from me. In return, he gave me cake (Mango Bravo) from Conti's. Delicious!

...Mom bought churros con chocolate from Dulcinea. Yummy!

...My sister and niece dropped by today. They brought lunch (Chinese food) - asado, fish fillet, lemon chicken and yang chow.

...Another friend came over and brought puting pancit. Tastes good!

...My aunt gave us lots of mangoes from my cousin's farm. My Kuya brought them and he got some for his family.

...My client's husband picked up the box of questionnaires and gave my payment. Yey.

...I keep chatting with friends at FB, YM and Skype. Someone invited me to join Google+, another social networking site. But I'm satisfied with FB already. It would be too time-consuming to maintain more than one site.

If you haven't noticed I'm a food addict. Hope I don't gain back the over 20 lbs. I lost.

Happy Heart Day!

It's Valentine's day and I have no official "valentine". So what?

I made a booboo in FB. I wrote, "On Feb 18, I will be turning gold. It's great to be a century old!" A friend immediately corrected me so I had to write, "I stand corrected. It's great to be half a century old!"

Already, friends are greeting me.

But alas, on my birthday, I have a 2 pm Client meeting. Sure, I will have breakfast at Alex III. And some friends might come over for lunch. But it would have to be a quick lunch because I will be fetched at about 1 pm.

I revised a report today. Converted summary tables into diagrams. Thanks to Powerpoint, the task was relatively easy.

Sssh. I have a surprise for mom. I asked my son to buy her a rose or three roses since its VD today. She keeps saying that she loves receiving flowers and that she misses the times when Kuya (my older brother) would give her roses on Valentine's Day. Hope she appreciates the gesture.

Scriptwriting

It has been a while since I last wrote a script. The last one was when I joined the Palanca contest for stageplays. I lost. Sniff.

Now, I am writing my lotto trilogy. I was inspired yesterday, I was able to write two out of the three stories in the movie. Problem is, production wise, the movie might be costly because there is a lot of characters in it. Oh well, I will leave that to the director and producer. But as a writer, I try to minimize the cost as much as I can without affecting the impact of the movie.

Money came in today. It went straight to my mom. She was happy that she didn't have to go to the bank to withdraw cash.

My aunt visited us for lunch. We had prawns and lechon. And various desserts. I wasn't hungry and just ate one piece and some honeydew.

An old friend of theirs emailed me and he had a message for my mom and my aunt. They both read the letter and responded to it. I was their secretary.

I was able to contact a good friend of mom through FB. Another great reason for keeping an FB account!
